Fracap: A Legacy of Handcrafted Shoes

If you're a footwear enthusiast, you might have heard of Fracap - the Italian shoemaker that has been around for over a century. What started as a small operation in a sleepy town in Puglia has now become a globally recognised brand that's synonymous with quality, craftsmanship, and durability. Here we take a look at Fracap's history, its legacy, and what makes their shoes stand out from the rest.

A Legacy of Handcrafted Shoes
Fracap's journey began over a hundred years ago when the founder, Antonio Cappello, handcrafted his first pair of boots for local farmers. He was passionate about making shoes that were not only functional but also beautiful. And that's how every pair of Fracap shoes has been since then - a work of art.Antonio's boots were known for their strength and durability, and soon they became the go-to footwear for farmers and workers across the region. The brand was named after Antonio's family name, and it quickly gained a reputation for quality. By the 1930s, Fracap had become a household name in Puglia, and people from all over the region would flock to their factory to buy their shoes.

The Rise of Fracap
During the 1940s, Antonio's sons, Alfredo and Giovanni, took over the business from their father. They had big plans for Fracap and wanted to take the brand to new heights. Alfredo and Giovanni had an eye for design and helped Fracap develop a new image that was both stylish and functional. They experimented with all the important welt techniques in the shoes, and soon Fracap's shoes became known for their excellent quality and craftsmanship.
By the 1960s, Fracap had expanded its operations beyond Puglia, and their shoes were being sold all over Italy. The brand had become synonymous with quality and durability, and people were willing to pay a premium for their shoes. Fracap's boots were now being worn not just by farmers and workers but also by fashion-conscious individuals who appreciated the brand's unique style.

A New Era for Fracap
In the 1980s, Alfredo's sons, Antonio and Michele, took over the reins of the company and decided to focus on expanding the brand's product line. They introduced new styles and designs that appealed to a wider audience, and soon Fracap's shoes were being sold all over Europe.

One of the most significant milestones in Fracap's history came in the 1990s when the brand designed a military collection for the Italian Army and Air Force. The collection was a huge success, and it helped establish Fracap as a brand that was not only stylish but also reliable and functional.
Today, Fracap is still based in the same small town in Puglia where it all began over a century ago. The factory is still located in the same place where it was in the early 20th century, and the brand continues to make shoes that are crafted with the same attention to detail and passion for quality that Antonio Cappello had over a hundred years ago.
What Makes Fracap Shoes Stand Out
So what sets Fracap's shoes apart from the rest? For one, they're still handcrafted using the same techniques that Antonio Cappello used over a century ago. Each pair of shoes is hand made with care and attention to detail, ensuring that they're not just functional but also beautiful.

Fracap's shoes are also known for their durability. They're made with high-quality materials that are meant to withstand the test of time. The brand uses only the best leather, and each pair of shoes is treated with care to ensure that they're resistant to wear and tear.

Finally, Fracap's shoes are known for their unique style. The brand has a distinct look that's both timeless and contemporary. They are most known for their now legendry Magnifico M120 boots although all their shoes are the perfect blend of classic Italian craftsmanship and modern design.

If you're in the market for a pair of shoes that are not only super cool but also reliable and durable, then look no further than Fracap’s wide range of styles. Magnifico!
