Saucony x Universal Works: A Fusion of Style and Innovation

Frontiers is thrilled to be one of the select retailers to launch the latest limited edition collaboration between two iconic brands, Universal Works and Saucony Originals. This exclusive partnership, available for AW23, marks the second installment of the 'Future Friendship Project,' uniting brands that share values of Peace, Love, and Soul.

For this project, we are unveiling Saucony's new Jazz NXT in two earthy shades of cream and brown. Crafted from luxurious hairy suede, these sneakers exude sophistication and style. A tonal rubber sole adds a punchy uniformity to each style, while playful stitched touches enhance Saucony's iconic logo. The Universal Works label graces the tongue, and a hand-stitched UW motif winks from the shoe's toe cap.

The spark for this project was ignited by Saucony's rich athletic heritage and technical prowess in running shoes. Universal Works co-founder, David Keyte, fondly recalls his introduction to Saucony: "I stumbled upon Saucony during a business trip to the States and quickly realized that Saucony makes real running shoes, the kind that real runners want to wear. We've all witnessed the transformation of running shoes into modern classics, and Saucony's Originals line has played a pivotal role in this evolution. As someone who regularly wears sport shoes in my day-to-day life, it's a true pleasure to celebrate this journey with the brand that made my original marathon shoes."

To celebrate this collaboration, they've created "Route to the Future," a short animated film that pays homage to the transition of running footwear into a staple of the contemporary wardrobe. This digital journey combines Saucony’s relentless innovation with a touch of retro nostalgia, taking you through pixelated urban landscapes.
